General Motor loss

(GM) reported a $38.7 billion loss for 2007, the largest annual loss ever for an automotive company. The company also announced another round of buyout offers to U.S. hourly workers in hopes of replacing some of them with lower-paid help. During a conference call with analysts and media, Chief Financial Officer Fritz Henderson said 2008 will be difficult.
